Silverado Country Club Real Estate

The Silverado Country Club and Resort is a 1,200 acre retreat situated in the heart of Napa Valley wine country. In the middle of the resort is a European styled white pillared mansion, designed by then-owner, General John Miller, and his wife in the 1800s. Today, the mansion houses the lobby, two restaurants and meeting rooms. To guests and residents, many lavish accommodations are provided. There are two 18-hole golf courses, 17 tennis courts, 8 swimming pools, full-featured spas and meeting facilities available to all. Intermingled with the courts are walkways lined with flowers, patios, a mini club house and a full-service sport shop. In addition to the elegant accommodations, you may be interested in Silverado homes for sale, condominiums or newer home subdivisions, such as Silverado Springs and Silverado Highlands.

About Napa Valley

Napa Valley is located north of the San Francisco Bay Area in California. Napa County is world renowned for its wine industry, which began to flourish in the 1960s and would rise to rank first in wine regions along with Italy and France. These days, there are many recreational opportunities available throughout the area. Activities range from playing racquetball to boating and fishing or water-skiing at Lake Berryessa, 20 miles east of Napa. For the more adventurous, horseback riding and hot air ballooning over the vineyards are perennial favorites. Clothing boutiques, specialty stores, antiques and art galleries abound in downtown Napa, as well as St. Helena and Calistoga, a short drive up the valley. Yountville's Vintage 1870 is a century-old winery complex where shoppers can purchase one-of-a-kind clothing, artwork and antiques.

The Silverado Country Club is a unique part of the Napa real estate scene. It’s the largest community of upper-end single-family homes in the Napa area. These houses vary widely in size, from less than 2,000 square feet to over 5,000 square feet. It’s also a community with several hundred condominiums that vary in size, from hotel suites of less than 500 square feet to detached or semi-detached houses with up to 3,000 square feet. There is a significant overlap between the size, price, and features of condos and detached houses. Because owning property in Silverado is the only way to belong to the world-class Silverado Country Club, a very large fraction of the properties are second homes, and many of the owners are not residents of Northern California. This means that the factors driving the market for Silverado properties could be unique.

Napa Valley is known worldwide for its weather and pleasant lifestyle. Napa will forever remain a most desirable location to own a home. Although, there is a shortage of pre-owned homes for sale, it’s still possible to find a new home at the Silverado Country Club resort. Many new properties are being purchased prior to construction. When you find a home that meets your criteria, be prepared to make the offer. Homes available range from spectacular multilevels with soaring ceilings, to new custom-built Tuscan inspired architectural beauties. Therefore, a Silverado Country Club new home is available for a variety of homeowners with different needs and desires.
